Terms of Service — Globalnomics

1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the browser-based game Globalnomics (the “Game”, the “Service”), available at Globalnomics.
  2. The Service is operated by Patryk Barszczewski (“Operator”).
  3. The Operator can be contacted at: globalnomicscontact@gmail.com.
  4. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
  5. These Terms are made available free of charge on the Service’s website in a form that allows them to be accessed, stored, and reproduced.

2. Definitions

  1. Account — an individual User account in the Game, created through registration and protected by a username and password.
  2. User — a natural person using the Service who is at least 13 years old (users under 18 should have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law).
  3. In-game currency — balances, income, and any other numerical values within the Game (cash, business income, loans, etc.) that have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not redeemable for any goods or services outside the Game.
  4. Administrator Account — an account with extended privileges, used exclusively by the Operator or persons authorized by the Operator to manage the Service.

3. Conditions of Use

  1. The Game is free to play. The Game does not offer the purchase of in-game currency or any other gameplay elements for real money.
  2. Access to the full functionality of the Game requires creating an Account by providing a unique username and password.
  3. The following is prohibited:
    • providing false information at registration or information that infringes the rights of third parties,
    • creating more than one Account per User to circumvent Game limitations (multi-accounting),
    • exploiting bugs, glitches, or undocumented mechanics to gain an unfair advantage,
    • using bots, scripts, or other automation software without the Operator’s consent,
    • any action that disrupts the operation of the Service (e.g. unauthorized access attempts, attacks on the infrastructure).
  4. Users are responsible for keeping their password confidential. The Operator is not liable for consequences arising from a User sharing their login credentials with third parties.

4. In-Game Currency and Game Mechanics

  1. All monetary-looking values displayed in the Game (balance, business prices, loans, taxes, portfolio value) are part of a fictional gameplay system and do not represent real money.
  2. In-game currency cannot be exchanged for real money, sold, or transferred outside the Game.
  3. The Operator reserves the right to modify Game mechanics at any time — including prices, income rates, tax rules, and loan terms — for the purpose of maintaining game balance.
  4. The Operator makes reasonable efforts to keep the Game running continuously but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and reserves the right to schedule maintenance downtime.

5. Personal Data

The processing of Users’ personal data is governed by a separate document — the Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy, which forms an integral supplement to these Terms.

6. Moderation and Liability

  1. The Operator reserves the right to:
    • temporarily suspend or permanently delete a User’s Account for violating these Terms,
    • remove or reverse the effects of actions resulting from a User exploiting a bug or glitch,
    • moderate User-generated content (e.g. usernames) that is offensive, vulgar, or infringes the rights of third parties.
  2. Except in cases of serious or repeated violations, the Operator will make reasonable efforts to notify the User of the reason for a planned suspension via the contact details provided at registration, where available.
  3. The Operator is not liable for damages resulting from:
    • a User’s improper use of the Game,
    • Service outages caused by factors beyond the Operator’s control (technical failures, force majeure, third-party actions),
    • loss of in-game progress due to circumstances beyond the Operator’s control.

7. Complaints

  1. Users may submit a complaint regarding the functioning of the Service to globalnomicscontact@gmail.com.
  2. A complaint should include: the username, a description of the issue, and the desired resolution.
  3. The Operator will review complaints within 14 days of receipt and inform the User of the outcome at the address the complaint was sent from.

8. Intellectual Property

  1. All rights to the Game, including its code, graphics, name, and mechanics, belong to the Operator.
  2. Copying, distributing, or modifying elements of the Game without the Operator’s consent is prohibited.

9. Changes to These Terms

  1. The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, in particular in response to changes in applicable law or Game functionality.
  2. Users will be notified of changes via a notice within the Service at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
  3. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. A User who does not agree to the changes may delete their Account.

10. Final Provisions

  1. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means, as these Terms are issued by an Operator established in Poland.
  2. These Terms enter into force on 06.09.2026.
