1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Patryk Barszczewski (“we”, “us”, “Operator”). You can contact us at globalnomicscontact@gmail.com for any question about this Policy or your data.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is needed to run the Game:

Data Purpose
Username Identifies your account; shown to other players in-game.
Password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) Authenticates you when logging in.
Account role (player / admin) Determines your permissions within the Game.
Gameplay data (balance, owned businesses, loans, stock holdings, tax records, in-game messages) Needed to run and save your progress in the Game.
Last-seen timestamp Used only to show an “online players” count.
Session cookie Keeps you logged in between page loads. This is strictly necessary for the Service to function and does not require separate cookie consent.
Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser/user agent, request timestamps) Automatically generated by our hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting purposes, as with any website.

We do not collect your email address, real name, payment details, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies at this time; if this changes, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — creating and maintaining your Account, and running the Game, is necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for basic security logging (e.g. server logs) needed to keep the Service safe and operational.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your Account data for as long as your Account exists. If you request deletion of your Account (see Section 6), we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep certain records for legal reasons.

5. Who We Share Data With

  • Hosting provider: your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider, who processes it on our behalf strictly to provide hosting infrastructure.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or other third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We may disclose data if required to do so by law or a valid legal request.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate data (e.g. change your username where technically possible).
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) — you may request deletion of your Account and associated data at any time.
  • Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Poland: the Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).

7. Data Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using a strong, industry-standard algorithm before being saved. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an Account, please contact us at globalnomicscontact@gmail.com so we can delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA). If any future infrastructure transfers require moving data outside the EEA, we will ensure appropriate legal safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Game or in applicable law. We will notify Users of material changes via a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
